The scary part was that it worked. A more detailed writeup will come when I get the video off my friend.

Are you suggesting that you “boosted” your small engine with a leafblower, roadkill style?

I’m curious, why wouldn’t it work? For all intensive purposes a leaf blower is an electric turbocharger compressor that’s poorly optimized for IC engine applications, by design it’s a form of forced induction.

The biggest question we had would be if the carb would work in a blow-through situation. We tried it with a little Mikuni with all the vents routed properly and ending up blowing fuel out through the bowl gasket. Switching back to the stock carb let it actually function properly.

Gotcha, it’s not like the pressure from a leaf blower is going over a psi or two as it is.
What’s the plan for all of this? I’ve been away for a bit so sorry if I missed any previous postings.

No real plan - I was up visiting some friends, it was raining, this stuff was on hand.
